Hi, it's my first time in Punta Cana and we had a fantastic time as a family. Excellent attention and service from the entertainers and butlers, especially Scooby and Mariel. A great variety of food to suit all tastes, we'll definitely be back soon! 🙌🏼

We had an amazing stay at the Hard Rock Punta Cana. Scooby Doo and Kenya at the members pool were the very BEST! We always had fresh towels, full drinks, clean facilities and delicious food. Jean Carlos and Jose were our butlers and we couldn't ask for a more accommodating individuals to guide us from start to finish. We also highly recommend going to Ciao and having a specialty cocktail made by Fleuri. At Zen, you need to ask for Bermy- he was so engaging and the best hibachi chef we've ever had. These staff members went above and beyond to not only ensure that our every desire was fulfilled, but they also had such great energy. They made sure we had the time of our lives. When you arrive, they say welcome home family, and that's because they truly treat you like family. Thank you to these staff members for making our vacation so memorable. We appreciated you more than I can express!

As always, a great time & great service! At the member pool, they are very attentive. Scooby, Kenia, Jeffrey, and Yohan are the best! And for butler service, Elvido & Rafaele took care of business. At Los Gallos ristorante, Juana is very personable. THE BEST!

My husband and I have had a great time at Ava. We were here for eight days and each day contained some new experiences which were provided by our butlers, Dorian and David C. We rose early every morning, had breakfast and then went to the pool area. As we headed to the pool area, we found they had already reserved our places at the pool of our choice. Every day we received a program of the upcoming days activities so we could pick and choose which activities we wanted to participate in. Each day we also received the place and time of dinner. These butlers literally went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experiences possible!

We appreciate the kindness and attention of our butlers, Dorian and David. They helped us stay on top of our daily activities. They gave us recommendations for several restaurants. We enjoyed a relaxing massage. They made my birthday special, making me feel unique. We leave feeling refreshed and ready to return to our daily lives on our little island of Puerto Rico.

My family just returned from Hard Rock Punta Cana where we had a group of 16 people. Our Butlers, Elvido and Raphael were key to making this trip easy, fun and successful for all of us! From making dinner reservations for our large group every night and getting us great chairs for lounging at the beach or pool every day! They went above and beyond and were so kind and helpful whenever we needed something or had questions! It was a great vacation!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐We had an amazing stay at Unico Puerto Vallarta! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great vacation. The resort is beautiful, modern, and impeccably clean, with breathtaking ocean views everywhere you look. The food exceeded our expectations every restaurant we tried was delicious, with fresh ingredients and excellent service. The pools were relaxing, the drinks were fantastic, and there were always plenty of chairs available to enjoy the sunshine. What really made this trip special was the attention to detail and genuine hospitality from every team member. They truly care about creating an unforgettable experience for their guests. If you’re looking for a luxurious, relaxing getaway with incredible service, outstanding food, and a beautiful beachfront setting, I highly recommend Unico Puerto Vallarta. Be careful when booking with Legendary at the airport, especially with Mr. Melvin; they offered us a dolphin excursion and we paid for it thinking it was already booked, only to discover we didn't actually have a reservation—not to mention they don't tell you that you have to sit through a sales pitch. It was a complete waste of time.

I strongly recommend that American travelers avoid the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana. We did not arrive expecting a true five-star luxury experience. We knew this was a massive, crowded all-inclusive resort and understood what we were getting into. Even with realistic expectations, we were extremely disappointed. The problems started immediately. Check-in took close to an hour and was confusing and disorganized. We paid to upgrade our room, which was supposed to include a more dedicated concierge experience. That did not happen. Our “upgraded” room turned out to be the exact same room type, in the exact same building, as another family traveling with us who did not pay for an upgrade. Same room, same location, but we paid extra. The concierge service was just as disappointing. I tipped our assigned concierge $50 when we first met him. During the entire stay, I contacted him one time for help getting the fold-out beds made. He was no help, and I ended up handling it myself. Other than that interaction, we never heard from him again after the first day. For something that was supposed to be part of an upgraded experience, it was a complete waste of money. One of the most frustrating parts of the resort is the constant pressure to attend timeshare sales presentations. People repeatedly approach you and try to get you into meetings and sales pitches, often without being straightforward about what they are actually asking you to attend. Even after clearly saying no, the pressure continues. You should not have to spend your vacation constantly trying to figure out whether someone is actually helping you or simply trying to get you into another sales pitch. The condition of the resort was also unacceptable. Toilets throughout the property were frequently clogged or out of service. Our room would not cool below approximately 80 degrees, and when we complained, we were actually told that 80 degrees was “normal.” An electrical outlet in our room also exploded and sent sparks flying. The property as a whole feels worn down and poorly maintained. The worst experience came at checkout. I disagreed with the hotel’s assessment of our charges, and the response felt more like a threat than an attempt to resolve a legitimate disagreement with a guest. I was told that I could not leave the hotel until I agreed with their position. Staff then refused to cut off our wristbands and told me that if we left the property wearing them, my credit card would be charged $75 per day, per person. The message was clear: agree with us or face additional charges. It was intimidating, completely inappropriate, and unlike anything I have experienced at a hotel.Overall, the resort is extremely difficult to navigate, both physically and in terms of figuring out who is actually there to help you versus who is trying to sell you something. Too many parts of the experience felt confusing, misleading, or focused on getting more money out of guests. We went into this trip with realistic expectations and were still shocked by how poor the overall experience was. Between the disorganized check-in, poor service, questionable room upgrade, useless concierge, nonstop timeshare pressure, lack of maintenance, electrical safety issue, 80-degree room, and the threatening way the checkout dispute was handled, we would never return.American travelers considering Punta Cana should look elsewhere.

We had an amazing stay at the Hard Rock! As Legendary members, we were treated so well from start to finish. A huge shoutout to Scooby Doo, the pool concierge—he was absolutely hilarious, incredibly attentive, and always made us laugh. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and seeing him every day made the pool experience even more enjoyable.

The entire pool staff was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always quick to help. The service at both the pool and the beach was outstanding, and the food was consistently delicious no matter where we ordered. Every day was relaxing because the staff worked so hard to make sure guests had everything they needed.

We also have to give a special thank you to Anderson and Jose, our butlers. They were incredible throughout our stay, always checking in on us, helping with reservations and anything else we needed, and making sure everything was perfect. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made our vacation completely stress-free.

Overall, we loved every part of our stay. Between the amazing staff, great food, beautiful beach, and excellent service, this was an unforgettable vacation. We can’t wait to come back!

Best part of our stay at the Los Cabos Hard Rock was the friendliness and service of the staff. In particular, our two butlers Edson Solano and Chetan Phondekar were superior in taking care of our needs. They made dinner reservations, arranged transportation, reserved a cabana and pool lounge chairs and provided other services for our group of five. They even managed a move to a different suite when non-working elevators in our area proved to be a problem. Always 5-star service with a smile.

Our experience with Eduardo was absolutely outstanding. He was consistently professional, warm, and proactive—checking on us daily and ensuring all our reservations were taken care of with ease. He genuinely cared about every detail and made us feel valued throughout our stay. The entire hotel staff mirrored that attentiveness—cleaning our room, which we left in a bit of a state, to immaculate perfection. The food was top-notch, and room service was equally impressive. Thanks to Eduardo and the team, it felt like every day was a new level of comfort and care. A 10-star stay, without a doubt!

My experience with Legendary Vacation Club has been one of the most stressful consumer experiences I’ve ever had.

I signed up while on vacation after being subjected to a high-pressure sales presentation. After thinking it over, I decided the membership was not right for me and submitted my cancellation request within the cancellation period, following the instructions I was given. Despite doing that, my cancellation was later denied.

What followed was months of stress. I had to dispute charges with my bank, provide documentation, send multiple emails, and fight to stop additional payments from being taken from my account. Instead of resolving the issue fairly, I felt like I had to constantly prove that I had done everything correctly.

No one should have to spend months dealing with billing disputes after trying to cancel a vacation club. A vacation is supposed to create happy memories, not financial anxiety and endless frustration.

My advice is simple: do not sign anything during a vacation because of sales pressure. Read every page of the contract carefully, understand your cancellation rights, and keep copies of every email and document you send.

Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Legendary Vacation Club. I found the customer service disappointing, the cancellation process extremely frustrating, and the entire experience emotionally and financially exhausting. I would never do business with this company again.

This was our first visit to DR. The beach and water at the Hard Rock are beautiful and nice to swim in. The staff is very friendly and helpful throughout your visit from arrival to departure. The food and drinks were good. The rooms and buildings are somewhat dated and need a facelift. You will get plenty of walking in because resort is very spread out. There are shuttles and shuttle stops all through out the resort. We only stayed on resort and did not do any excursions.

What an absolute amazing experience! We have now been to the Hard Rock in Cabo three times, and I have to say this last experience topped them all! Everyone was so friendly and attentive to my family and I. We had Mar as our personal concierge and she checked in on us every day of our stay, gave us a schedule of all the activities, and ensured all of our needs were met in a timely manner. She even put a small scavenger hunt together for my daughters and made their experience so memorable! In addition to Mar outdoing herself, Vero at the bar was so sweet to my girls! Always with a warm welcome and amazing attitude! The employees at the sushi bar were top tier!!! We had sushi every night of our stay because of them! Being back for the third time felt like we were at our home away from home, and the Hard Rock staff definitely made us feel that way! We are already looking forward to our next visit! Can't wait to be back with my little family!

UNICO is an amazing all inclusive resort. The service is fabulous, the rooms are well appointed and the pool will melt away all your stress. I’d like to give special kudos to Laura Flores, our local host who went above and beyond to ensure we were aware of everything the resort had to offer, helped with restaurant booking, and answered any questions we had.I really enjoyed how private the resort felt while also tucked into the natural wildlife. Seeing lizards and other animals wondering around the trees was an added treat. I look forward to our next trip.

This summer, we had an amazing time in Los Cabos San Lucas, staying at the Hard Rock Hotel for two weeks. I’d love to share our experience with you. The service at the restaurants was fantastic—the people and food were top-notch. The staff were always so helpful, checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly. I especially recommend the Legendary service, especially at the pool. Look for Bon; he’s wonderful, friendly, enthusiastic, and always positive. He makes you feel valued and makes your visit special by joining the pool and enjoying the beautiful views. A huge thank you to our butlers, Lety Marlin, Edson Solano, and Chettan. They worked as a team, caring for us, checking in, and giving us the best options for our days. Lety Marlin is especially great with kids; my kids adore her. She’s a wonderful host and has experience entertaining them with games and surprises. You want people like that around you and your family to create wonderful memories, and I’m sure you’ll want to return to this place again. If you’re looking for good butlers, consider this team. Traveling with family from different countries is always special, especially when it's a long-awaited reunion. Unfortunately, several preventable issues took away from what should have been a memorable vacation. My intention is not to criticize for the sake of criticizing, but to provide honest, constructive feedback while also recognizing the employees who truly made a difference.Airport Transportation:Before we even arrived, we encountered issues with airport transportation. Although transportation was included with our reservation, I was only able to request it eight days before arrival because of a death in our family. The resort's policy requires a 15-day notice, and unfortunately there was no flexibility or empathy shown despite the circumstances.I spent more than four hours on the phone on Father's Day, was disconnected three times, and repeatedly had to explain the situation. The only solution offered was a 10% discount, which still would have cost my family of 16 nearly $500. I eventually booked transportation through another company that was professional, affordable, and communicated with us every step of the way.Check-In ExperienceMonths before arrival, I requested that our five rooms be located close together since this was our family's first reunion and we had an elderly family member with limited mobility. At check-in, I was assured that all five rooms were in the same building. Unfortunately, that information was incorrect. Our rooms ended up being spread across different buildings, leaving family members constantly walking back and forth throughout the resort. It was disappointing because this request had been made months in advance and should have been planned accordingly. It was stated we would all be in the same building.First impressions matter, and I believe the front desk has an opportunity to provide a warmer welcome while ensuring information given to guests is accurate. But unfortunately failed to do so.Communication and Guest Services:Throughout our stay I noticed inconsistent communication. I received three different answers regarding the gym opening hours, while the gym attendant confirmed it has always opened at 6:00 a.m. I wish I remembered his name because he was one of the friendliest and most professional employees we met.Another surprise was discovering the front desk didn't have simple first-aid supplies. After injuring my foot, they had no bandages, tape, scissors, or even tissues available. Thankfully, the Rock Shop staff immediately helped without hesitation.Delayed Response from Management:One of our rooms had a sofa bed with a strong odor that wasn't resolved until more than a day later.More concerning was how long it took to speak with a manager. It took over 52 hours before someone met with me, despite multiple concerns being raised. During that time it felt like our concerns were simply being passed from one employee to another.Initially, compensation offered was two bowling games, which honestly didn't reflect the amount of time and frustration involved. Fortunately, Pedrito (Star Mgmt Person) became involved. He genuinely cared, checked in with us every day, helped coordinate restaurant reservations, arranged a birthday celebration for my father-in-law, and made sure the children could enjoy activities. He turned the final days of our trip into a much better experience. He is a tremendous asset to this resort and deserves recognition.Dining:One helpful tip for future guests: restaurants become extremely busy after about 6:30 p.m., so arriving earlier or making reservations is highly recommended.Overall, we enjoyed the food. The only exception was Ipanema. The food was excellent, but the restaurant desperately needs better ventilation. It became so hot inside that it made enjoying dinner uncomfortable. No A/C in the room and if there was well I tell you it not functioning at all. Many guests expressed their concern about this restaurant. Los Gallos also needs improvement. While the staff was pleasant, service was extremely slow and several requests were forgotten. At one point a glass shattered near children. No employee immediately cleaned it, so after waiting several minutes I cleaned the broken glass myself to make sure no one stepped on it. Nearly an hour later someone finally arrived with a broom. Situations involving guest safety should always receive immediate attention.Rooms and Maintenance:While I understand rooms must be turned over quickly, I believe every room should receive a thorough inspection before guests arrive. My room was acceptable, although I noticed mold around portions of the shower. Other family members experienced additional maintenance concerns, including unpleasant odors and other issues that could have been identified during routine inspections. Many of these items are relatively small individually, but together they impact the overall guest experience.Entertainment: The entertainment team was friendly, but I believe the overall program could be improved.Hard Rock has always been associated with legendary music and classic rock culture. Shows like Michael Jackson, Queen, and The Beatles consistently attracted large audiences during our stay. Performances centered around more contemporary artists generated noticeably less interest, even from my own children.Looking at the entertainment programs at other Hard Rock resorts may provide ideas that better capture the energy and identity guests expect from the Hard Rock brand.I truly believe this resort has tremendous potential. Most employees outside of the front desk were friendly, hardworking, and genuinely wanted guests to enjoy themselves. My biggest concern is the lack of urgency, communication, and empathy when issues arise. Guests shouldn't spend two days trying to speak with management while on vacation. Problems should be acknowledged quickly, even if a complete solution takes more time.As someone with experience in hospitality, I know managing a large resort is not easy. That is exactly why leadership, communication, and guest recovery are so important.Would I return? At this moment, I'm honestly unsure. I would like to see improvements and continue reading positive guest experiences before making that decision if guests are truly honest within themselves to state it.Finally, if someone from senior management would like to discuss this experience, I would genuinely welcome the opportunity. Throughout my stay, it seemed nearly impossible to speak directly with upper management, and I believe that in situations like this, guests appreciate hearing from a leader who is empowered to listen, show empathy, and make meaningful improvements. Instead of responding this thread reach out and maybe make my future stay a bit more welcoming, but since you receive hundred of guests a day I doubt one would make a difference for the hotel itself anyways. At least I have been honest and neutral with my review. My hope is that this review is received in the constructive spirit in which it is intended. This resort has many wonderful qualities, and with stronger communication, faster response times, and a more guest-centered approach, it has every opportunity to become an outstanding destination. I would of loved to leave with a better memory but I typed what I needed to do and well if any comments please feel free. Also if needed to do an excursion at a fantastic price and taxi DM me as I found someone outside of the hotel (Obviously) trustworthy and always communicative throughout my vacation.

Travel Dates: June 23-30, 2026. A husband and wife in our early 70s.My apologies in advance for the long review but I’ve always enjoyed reading long reviews by others. Here goes…General:This was our ninth visit since 2019. Overall, our experience was excellent. It rained one night for about half an hour but, other than that, the entire week was sunny and hot! Kinda like the tropics. Airport-Arrival:Arrived at Cancun Terminal 4. Immigration was not crowded, so it only took about 5 minutes through the e-reader line. (Keep the receipt you get!!) Waiting for luggage took about 20 minutes. Got randomly pulled over by Customs and they did a cursory inspection of our bags. After that, smooth sailing.UNICO Check In:The hotel provides a shuttle but since 2021 we preferred to use a private shuttle. The past few trips we used Kalido Travel and it was reasonably priced for round trip in a private van. They were right there at the airport upon arrival and were right on time to pick us up at the resort upon departure. Totally great experience and we will use them again. It took about an hour and 15 minutes. This varies depending on traffic. Use the restroom before you leave the airport!Arrival and check-in went really smooth. Our host’s name (Mendoza) was provided and we were all checked in. We were then shown to our room. Room Accommodations:Room number was 6408 (Building 6, 4th floor, room 08). Great view!.The room was spacious and immaculate. Fridge was well-stocked, bed and pillows were perfect, balcony had a great view of the pool area and ocean, plenty of closet and drawer space, Wi-Fi was good but very sporadic this trip, plenty of bathroom amenities, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, hair dryer, plenty of towels (sometimes) provided by housekeeping service every morning but no turn-down service in evening this time, slippers and robes, safe, ironing board, etc. A scale was provided…but unused! Buildings and Grounds:Like the room, the grounds were beautiful and immaculate. The beach had the standard sargassum and they did their best to keep it clear. Like shoveling in a snowstorm. We preferred the pools anyway and spent our entire week there. Staff:ALL the staff members were extremely friendly. Some remembered us from previous trips and that made us feel extra special! Apparently, they have extremely great memories! Some outstanding Superstars were:Alejandro Mendoza---Our Host. He visited us every day to verify our restaurant reservations and to see if we needed anything. He was able to get us into the Mixology event which was quite entertaining! Much appreciated! And thank you for decorating the room for the anniversary celebration!! We will definitely ask for him next time. Gracias por todo, amigo!Rudi, Manuel, Antonio and Josh--- Luggage Service. On time, very friendly and very helpful. Thank you!Raymundo---Primary Escondida Pool Server. Very friendly and kept our Yeti glasses full. Tito’s and tonic; Modelo con hielo. Don’t forget your sunscreen, amigo!Diego and Christopher---Escondida Pool Concierges. Thank you for the towels and chair set up!!Marlene---Legendary Membership Customer Service. Extremely pleasant and fun to talk with. This was our fifth year to meet up with her and we were glad to catch up.Jaz and Raja---Legendary Membership Customer Service. Thank you for all of your assistance and information! And Raja, thanks for playing my song on the sound system!Dana---Hostess Cueva Siete. Great to see her again since she moved from Mura House! What a fantastic smile!!Luis---Mi Carisa Server at breakfast. We had Luis twice. Extremely fun, personable and efficient. Thank you for your service! Jazmin---20.87 Hostess. Very pleasant and personable! She’s been there several years and always had pleasant greetings for us. Thank you for being so nice! The other Hostess was really great also but we didn't get her name.Christian---20.87 Server. Very attentive and friendly, Muchas gracias, amigo! We also had other great servers but we couldn’t read the dark name tags.Astrid---20.87 Server breakfast and lunch. Exceptionally excellent personality and fantastic service! Gracias por su amabilidad!Susan---20.87 Server dinner. Great service! Gracias!Angel---Mi Carisa Dinner. Great Service and great sense of humor!! Much appreciated!Alberto---Bar Balam evenings. Lo mejor! Thanks for the 43, amigo!! Hasta pronto!Julio---Avec. Thank you for the extra order of mashed potatoes!! Mmmmm!Overall, as is mentioned often, the staff everywhere was great! Unfortunately, the name tags are very dark and hard to read so we didn’t always get their names.Dining and Drinks:We made our required reservations through the Prearrival concierge email about a month ahead of arrival and everything was perfect. We ate at all the restaurants and enjoyed our meals at all of them. The menu selections had changed in some of the restaurants this trip. Sadly, some of our favorite dishes were gone. But it was nice to see some “basic” dishes for those of us (me) that are not into the eclectic selections. Service was also much better this year than last year, but the Servers seemed overwhelmed at times. Bring back some bus staff to help.We also picked up coffee each morning at Inez and picked up some pastries each night for a “starter” breakfast the next morning. We didn’t eat at the pool this year but the menu had a lot of great choices. We ate lunch at 20.87 most of the time which was really good…and cool! It would be nice to have the pool menu items available in 20.87 and prepared in that kitchen. A basic lunch buffet would be even better!! We had pizza one day by the pizza oven and that was great! The iguanas are progressing in perfecting their begging tactics! We ate breakfast at 20.87 buffet all but two days and it was excellent with a great selection. Drinks were good. If you have a favorite brand of alcohol, ask for it. If you think your drinks are too weak, order two or ask for an extra shot on the side. And pace yourself…drink a bottle of water every two drinks!Attire:Breakfast and Lunch---shorts/swimsuits/tee shirts/tank tops/flip flops. Ladies need swimsuit cover ups; men need shirts (Tees, tanks, polo, etc.). Dinner---Casual. Most ladies wore really nice dresses and most men wore a nice shirt (Hawaiian or polo) and shorts. Flip flops or sandals were common at dinner. Communications:Every staff member spoke English. Some better than others but communication was easy. I wanted to learn more Spanish, and they wanted to learn more English. Lots of fun! Airport-Departure:We used a porter at the airport to haul our bags. Well worth it! He checked us in and took our bags to the Southwest counter. We had already paid our VisiTax online. At US Customs we didn’t use the Mobile Passport Control app this year but we have in the past. This app is highly recommended. Fill it in beforehand and when you land, click the “Arrive” button, it will take a selfie of each of you which will be uploaded for when you got through US Immigration/Customs. Worked slick!Suggestions, NOT complaints, for UNICO (These have been suggestions for the last several years. We’re still waiting.):Name Tags with highly contrasting letters so we can read the staff member’s name better without asking. It’s really hard to stare at someone’s chest to try and read their name tag! We have been suggesting this for several years and even the staff would like to see this happen. Would this be hard to accomplish?Weather Channel on the TVAt La Escondida (the Quiet Pool), the chairs on the wooden decks were packed so close together it was hard to have a quiet conversation with your spouse without everyone hearing it. Plus, it was hard exiting and entering the chair area. Stubbed toes, bruised shins, and lots of “Excuse me’s”. Please space them out a bit more…or make a larger deck!Housekeeping was excellent but, on several days, they didn’t provide sufficient towels. E.g., no floor mat in bathroom, not enough washcloths or hand towels. Tipping made no difference. Maybe a checklist for consistency? Four bath towels, four hand towels, four washcloths, two floor mats. Check the Kleenex box. It shouldn’t be hard to do. PLEASE!The refrigerator and water were not consistently stocked on a couple of days. We had to call the front desk just to get more water bottles. They did respond within 15 minutes though.Maybe a small shelf in the toilet area above the toilet paper. It would be nice to have a direction sheet for the light switches. We never did completely figure them out. Just keep pushing buttons until something happens.Maybe have two small resin chairs on the balconies instead of just the couch. It would be nice to sit out there and look at the ocean and grounds. We’re all paying for that view from the room. Sitting on the couch requires you to constantly be turning your neck. UPDATE! They did replace the worn-out couch cushions with new, firmer ones. Our backs thank you!!Several years ago, my wife had suggested to maybe have a free short “Nature Tour” to show off the animals, birds and plants/trees. The grounds are beautiful. Own it and show them off with a tour! The coatimundis were few and far between this year. They were quite cute but quite pesky last year. Unfortunately, more and more reviews are saying the resort needs refreshing and is starting to show some wear and tear. This is understandable but Resort prices continue to rise, as does the competition in the Riviera Maya. Quality needs to rise proportionately. Management should each anonymously spend 2-3 nights in a random room to get the experience. My wife has suggested that they have their abuela go through the resort with a pad of paper and several pencils. OK, a few disappointments this year (sorry): No evening turndown service. We used to really look forward to that when we would come back to our room after dinner! Fresh towels, chocolates, etc. It was a really nice feature of UNICO. Again, prices are going up. services should not be going down.No paper menus (except Avec dinner and 20.87 at lunch). QR codes only. As some of us age, it’s harder to read, scroll and expand on our phones. On several occasions we tapped something incorrectly and the menu disappeared. In addition, most of the Servers are unhappy with them because customer can’t just point to a menu item on the page or they had to wait for them to relocate the menu on their phones. And many of us don’t trust QR codes because of scams. Just sayin’. Suggestions for Guests:Bring plenty of extra electrical multiplugs with USB plugs and maybe an extension cord or two.A dim nightlight plugged in by the coffee maker or bathroom is great if you get up in the middle of the night.Yeti glasses and plenty of disposable straws. The resort does not provide straws.Plenty of tip money as these staff members work hard to please. All of the walkways and hallways outside the room doors after a rain are slick! Wear proper footwear.Print out all of your travel documents as well as photocopies of your passport, credit cards, insurance cards, prescriptions and keep in your room safe.Leave your expensive jewelry and watches at home.Purge your wallets of all unnecessary items. Only bring one or two credit cards, insurance cards, driver’s license along with your passports. We made a spreadsheet of anticipated tips needed each day and put the cash in separate envelopes marked with the days of the week.Purchase a luggage scale. Your bags may be heavier on the way home. Ours definitely were!Sunscreen—a minimum of SPF 50 or higher is recommended. Apply it liberally and often!Plenty of Ziploc bags for cameras, phones, tip money, etc. while at the pool. Rainstorms pop up with little or no warning.Hooks to hang pool bags onto the umbrella ribs if it rains or to keep them away from the cute, but pesky and stealthy, coatimundi and birds when you’re in the pool!Insect repellent with DEET. We encountered no mosquitos this trip, but you never know.Join the various UNICO group pages on Facebook. LOTS of great information!!Check out many of the great YouTube videos about UNICO.Same with the VisiTax. Watch the YouTube videos and pay it! We paid online about 30 days out. Nobody has ever asked for it but better safe than sorry. And bring plenty of manners, smiles and Holas!Bottomline:We TOTALLY enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back! Muchas gracias to all the staff that make this resort extra special!

We had a wonderful trip to celebrate a dear friend’s wedding at Unico. The resort and staff were wonderful to our entire group. We loved starting our day at breakfast being cared for by Astrid at 20 87, she really got to know us and knew how to make us feel at home. Annette & Olibert were our local hosts that made sure our family had what we needed in our rooms and that we had proper dinner reservations each evening. Our friends worked with Roger and Flores and made sure we all had spots at the pool each day! It was such a restful and relaxing trip all around. Dinners at Mi Carisa and Cueve Siete stood out for the quality and tastes with Mura House a close third!! A shout out to Jose who saw us to both of our rooms, helped us feel at ease with his friendly smile and also to Luis who cared for our large group several days at the member pool with his infectious energy and smile!!
